One passion … Olive oil!

Iliessa was founded by a family with passion for healthy nutritional food investing in the value of the tradition of Zante island and the rich good that it provides "Olive oil". The word Iliessa was used by Homer in the epic "Odyssey". Homer used this word and describes an area that is wooded and dense. This description fits perfectly to Zakynthos, the most green and fertile island in the Ionian Sea.

The company is located in Zakynthos, known for producing the best quality olive oil in the world, the world famous olive cultivar 'Koroneiki'.

Iliessa is in line with all national standards and provides facilities that meet all requirements of quality management systems. Iliessa ensures optimal conditions for production and bottling of olive oil because:

Products

The excellent extra virgin olive oil quality, that Iliessa offers, comes from the most fertile island in the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos.

Nothing has changed in the tradition of 5000 years. Harvesting is still done by a "soft strike" of the tree, using a long stick. Consequently, it avoids the trauma of the olives, which would adversely affect the quality of the finished product, the oil. No harmful pesticides are used during cultivation and watering the olive trees is made by using pure water.

Excellent texture, taste and aroma of extra virgin olive oil, is the ideal choice to use for cooking and for salads.
